Feyenoord lost consecutively NEC, PSV, AZ, Heerenveen and ADO Den Haag and Sunday there is another tough one on the roll. Ajax is the opponent and De Boer is looking forward. "The sixth in a row in the competition for Feyenoord? I think so, yes," grins the Ajax coach.

De Boer has to do with colleague Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who this week got some air through the won Cup match against Roda JC (0-1 after extra time). "If you lose five games in a row, the pressure is very large. At a top club is it a fuss."

Looking at himself, must recognize De Boer that it does not go smoothly in Amsterdam. "I understand the criticism of us. We must ensure that we get back the good feeling of the winter break, but we did not talk too much. Our players should not get into the thinking mode."

"The conversation with the fans was good. There was understanding of both sides and we are through one door to go outside," he continues about the discussions with some of the grassroots, earlier this week. And the lack of amplification in the last transfer window: "I respect the club policy With this selection, we can be champions.".
