Frank de Boer decide in March whether he stays with Ajax coach next season. Should he decide to quit then John van den Brom may well be on the list of suitable successors.
In Amsterdam he played two seasons together with De Boer and current technical director Marc Overmars. Van den Brom was at Ajax head of youth development and coach of the second. The current success at AZ strengthen his candidacy.
Anderlecht Van den Brom worked at a club with a similar stature. He booked there varying successes. Marc Degryse, former PSV striker and now football analyst in Belgium, thinks Van den Brom has been able to learn from his Anderlecht period. ,, Ajax Anderlecht of Belgium. The pressure is just as great. Anderlecht only results not enough, "Degryse said. ,, Especially in the beginning Anderlecht played under him a sort of champagne football they would also like to see in Amsterdam."
