AJAX A1 has failed to place themselves at the expense of title holders Chelsea to the semi-finals of the UEFA Youth League. In London, the young AJAX players never really make a fist against the physically strong English and it lost, 1-0.
For both teams was the initial phase of the contest pretty scanning. Where Chelsea clearly had trouble with the early disturbing AJAX players, it was difficult for Ajax by the physically strong defense of the English. After a little less than half an hour was playing the first danger for Ajax, but a shot by Vaclav Cerny could simple be parried.
Just before peace was Nouri still closest to a hit, but his shot went wide. Just when it seemed that both teams with 0-0 Chelsea profited, however, make the most of the rest went in oversight in the Amsterdam defense. Kyle Scott came entirely free to stand in front of goalkeeper Indy Great houses and scored the opening goal of the match.
The competition picture changed little in the second half. AJAX had the ball possession and seemed in charge of the opponent, but beyond half chances came through again Cerny the Amsterdammers as yet. The biggest chance was after an hour of playing again for Chelsea, but goalkeeper Large houses was well prepared when betting Maddox and occurred so the 2-0. After this mega chance was lost, but it was all the Ajax to large houses that Chelsea could not give the final blow.
With Justin Kahler and Kaj Saeed as invaders tried to coach Gery Vink catch up still. A corner of Vince Luke Davis flew in injury time in the goal, but Saeed would be the goalkeeper of Chelsea too much bothered that goal, much to the frustration of the whole team, was rejected. The deprecated goal was Ajax ' last achievement, making the European adventure of the Amsterdam-team in the quarter-finals.
