Jaap Stam is leaving at the end of this season Ajax. The current coach of Young Ajax wants to be head coach and therefore decided not to renew his contract. A move to England he does not rule out.
The ruthless defender of yesteryear preys on a comeback at Manchester United, he told The Daily Mail. "First would suit me to work in England. But in the end, as I develop and do well, I hope to return to Manchester United," said Stam, who thereby again indicating wanting only in the Netherlands and England work.
A longer stay at Ajax was, according to tribe not an option. "The club wanted to keep me but they know my ambition.. I want to train a first team People do talk about me as the replacement for Frank de Boer But as long as he has a contract, there is nothing certain," explains the coach his choice from. "I had until the end of the season can wait and make a decision based on when he would leave. But such type of person I am not."
The key for the former defender is to develop the trainer Tribe. "I want to develop myself and finally to a team in England. So I told Ajax that I uitdien my contract. Now we can wait until the end of the season."
