Only Ajax can be weekdays champion

In the Premier League there after this weekend a weekday round of play at the program and it may just be that Ajax then champion.

The opportunity is not very likely, but it is not excluded. PSV may beat in the matches against Roda JC (off) and Vitesse (home) up one point and hold the Amsterdammers have FC Utrecht (home) and SC Heerenveen (out). Ajax If that fails, they'll go with two more rounds on 80 points. PSV remain a defeat and a draw stabbing on 73 points.

When PSV twice equal playing it stands on 74 points and they can be on goal difference with two victories of Ajax in theory still champion. As Ajax has a much better goal average (+54) than PSV (+45). But there may be awarded on weekdays no scale so yet. With two victories and two defeats PSV Ajax is the difference (4 points) not big enough to cope with the Brabant then two duels already designated as champion.

TICKET SALES

But why is there so late one weekday program on the role? "We put these games earlier in the season on the program sometime in February or March, but we got a request from the clubs to push them further back," said Gijs de Jong, Director of Operations of the KNVB."The clubs were the climatically more pleasant places to find matches in April. Cold temperatures have a clear impact on ticket sales. "

The midweek matches are now finished in the week before the cup final on April 24 between FC Utrecht and Feyenoord. The Domstedelingen take it on Wednesday at home against De Graafschap and the formation of Giovanni van Bronckhorst is the same evening to visit Heracles Almelo. De Jong: "There is 3 x 24 hours between the matches and the finals, so both teams have enough time to prepare."
