Thalys vacated at Rotterdam Central because of suspicious person on toilet

Rotterdam Central is Friday Thalys high speed train evacuated due to a suspicious person who had locked himself in the toilet. The suspect was taken nearly two hours later the train.

That says a spokesman for the police against NU.nl. First the surrounding eight platforms were evacuated, but around 9:30 pm the market was made larger. The stores have now been cleared.

The man was on the train jumped just before departure. Since then, he did not get out of the toilet. By 9.00 am a negotiator and SWAT team entered the train to make contact with the man, but those negotiations had failed.

Around 9.50 am, the police is to re-entered with a police, which is trained to detect explosives. Shortly after the man was removed from the Thalys and he could be arrested. The arrest took place without problems, police said.
No danger

The police left pretty quickly that the immediate area was not in danger. "There is no evidence that the man would be armed," reported the police.

The train was en route from Amsterdam to Paris. Thalys said on Twitter that the security services had everything under control and that there is no risk to passengers.

Kalashnikov

Friday, August 21 was aboard a Thalys train in northern France, a man with a Kalashnikov overpowered. An American soldier saw the man and seized along with another American and a Briton in.

It is suspected that the accused would commit an attack, though he denies himself.
He had multiple weapons and ammunition with them.
