The Jewish community in The Hague is deeply shocked by the news that, in her view, supports terror against Jews as speaker occurs during an alternative commemoration of Kristallnacht in Amsterdam.

'Jodenhaatster spreekt bij herdenking Kristallnacht'

"The Platform Stop Racism and Exclusion provides the Arab-Israeli politician Haneen Zoabi one day before the official Kristallnacht commemoration a platform to spread its hatred of Jews," reads the criticism of the Hague Jews.

Black period

The Dutch-Jewish community (NIG) in The Hague will find it shocking that precisely during the commemoration of the bloody start of the murder of six million Jews in World War II, the anti-Semitic sound again proclaimed. The Central Jewish Board organizes in Amsterdam on Monday, November 9th the annual commemoration of Kristallnacht.

On November 9, 1938 took place in Nazi Germany Kristallnacht place with 267 synagogues were burned, more than 7000 shops of Jewish businesses were destroyed and nearly a hundred Jews were murdered. It was the start of one of the darkest periods in Europe, in which six million Jews were cruelly destroyed.

"By providing a platform for anti-Semitic and hate speech to the Jewish people by Ms Zoabi, the core of the Kristallnacht commemoration is severely damaged," said the Board of the Dutch-Jewish community (NIG) in The Hague.

Geschorst

„Zoabi werd vorig jaar nog voor zes maanden geschorst als parlementslid wegens opruiing en haatzaaierij. Het doel van de Kristallnacht herdenking is om een signaal af te geven en alert te blijven dat antisemitisme en racisme geen plaats meer krijgen in onze Nederlandse samenleving. Het eenzijdig zwartmaken van Israël en haar joodse bevolking druist dan ook volledig in tegen deze doelstelling.”
