Russian airlines no longer fly to Egypt. That Russian President Vladimir Putin just announced.

Rusland stopt met vliegen op Egypte na vliegtuigcrash

His decision was announced shortly after the chef had said the Russian security service that it is better not to fly to Egypt as long as the cause of the crash is not clear. Last Saturday, a Russian Airbus crashed in the north of the Sinai down. All 224 passengers, almost all Russian tourists, were killed.

British and American security services to keep in mind that the plane exploded by a bomb. The Russian authorities have so far responded remarkably restrained.

Revenge for bombing?
Terror Group IS claimed within hours after the crash that they were responsible for the attack. They would have done so in retaliation for the bombing of Russia on IS in Syria. Experts were of an accident. Again, a 'normal' accident remains one of the possibilities.

Airlines take action because of uncertainty about the cause. KLM still flies towards the Egyptian capital Cairo. However, passengers traveling with KLM from Cairo to Amsterdam fly may take hand luggage only. The airline will temporarily not load suitcases at the airport of the Egyptian capital. Tour operators TUI and Neckermann Travel takes no more Dutch tourists at the Egyptian resort of Sharm al-Sheikh.
