Postmen are possibly used in the future for more than just the delivery of letters. During a trial in Schiedam will they pass abuses and nuisance to the municipality.
Five postal workers PostNL take part. They take pictures for example, if garbage is next to the underground containers. They send pictures to them by the municipality, which then what can be done. The deliverers have done training for shooting in the district and they have been taught that they should photograph any sensitive information. They get paid for their extra work by PostNL.

New revenue stream?
The municipality Schiedam not pay for the deployment of the postmen as detectors of pollution in the neighborhoods, but in the end it paid PostNL hopes to get the commitment of its staff.
