Incorrect
CTIVD states that the AIVD has no legal obligation to provide information to the Public Prosecution. But the space for it after letting in serious crimes such as the murder of Van Gogh, according to the regulator is very small. According CTIVD the information with the AIVD was not evident unreliable or obviously incorrect.

The EDPS recommends that GISS did just discussions in the future with the prosecution before the department decides whether or not to give the information to the Public Prosecution. So the prosecution can already estimate whether the information is important. Minister Ronald Plasterk (Interior) accepts this recommendation.

The research was done by order of Plasterk. It has focused on the period after the murder, because there were doubts about the investigation. ,, I want clarity on all fronts, "said the minister at the time.

Mohammed B. was given life for the murder of the director.
