Eight years jail for Tjeukemeer Murder

Nineteen-year-old Semih K. needs to eight years in jail for his part in the so-called Tjeukemeer Murder. The court in Leeuwarden, he helped to murder the 35-year-old Omar Kourrich from Amsterdam.

Eight years jail for Tjeukemeer Murder

The burned body of Kourrich was found in 2013 in the Frisian Tjeukemeer. He was slain in a cigar shop in Amsterdam by several persons, including K. The penalty is equal to the demand of the Public Prosecutor.

Other suspects
Two other defendants in the case were given lower sentences of the court. Marian H. which according to the court is an accomplice, received two years in prison. Hendrik van der H., who helped in Friesland to take away the corpse must be 1.5 years in prison.

A fourth suspect in the case, Enik K., died last July in his cell. What was his involvement in the murder was never solved, he refused to give a statement to his death.
