A number of trails was monitored with video cameras and there, it became clear that 20 percent of the cyclists during the ride the smartphone are doing.
Thus they are no longer concentrated on the traffic, says director Peter van der Knaap.
What also stood out was that relatively many cyclists (5 percent) on the paths to drive into traffic and many people (80 percent) for overtaking not look back. This enables significant accidents happen, the organization warns. The cameras were set such accidents.
