D66 Rotterdam wants strong action against theft e-bikes

The municipality of Rotterdam must take D66 measures the widespread theft of e-bikes to a halt.

The police need to do more on prevention, so the party says. Councillor Samuel Schampers is the city council written questions.

Research shows that over the past year nationwide, the number of stolen electric bicycles with 20 percent higher than in 2014. Also D66 itself is getting more calls from people whose electric bicycle is stolen. Because of the thicker straps are regular bicycle often unsuitable for the e-bike.
