Too many older people have too little to do in the nursing home. They can sit inside and not outside. Some have a private room with own stuff to pull in here again. That could be "inhuman and degrading", says the College for Human Rights.

The organization, the successor to the Equal Treatment Commission, looked at six nursing homes and presented the results Wednesday. It is generally "not bad" and there are no references humiliations, but "bottlenecks", the report said.
Small and big things
Sometimes it's the little things. One of the studied nursing homes for example, decided that the elderly were not allowed to sleep under their duvet. Instead, they were white covers of the institution. That made it easier to wash the covers.
But for the elderly it meant that their own room, in fact, their environment was less personal. ,, I really cried about. It's not my house, my comfortable house, '' said one resident to the researchers.
Elsewhere was an older man no help when he had to go to the bathroom because he was wearing something against incontinence. Another resident had even publicly naked down the hallway walking to the shower.
