Drug War in Naples Italy sends more troops

Italy is sending 250 additional troops to Naples to help a crime wave under control.

The local police seem unable to contain the violence flared up. There were nine hundred soldiers operating in Naples and the 250 extra troops to help the gang war to suppress and curb the increasing crime, said Interior Minister Angelino Alfano Monday.

According to authorities in Naples violence is an unintended consequence of the arrests of old bosses of the Camorra, the Neapolitan mafia. The power vacuum that is filled resulting from the arrest by younger mobsters who move faster to brute force.
