Three quarters of children less frequently than outside prison

Three-quarters of British children is less frequent than outside prison. One fifth of the children is not at all out on an average day.

But the lack of greenery and the lure of digital technology ensure that children lead a life locked up.

Researchers questioned 2,000 parents of 5 to 12 year olds. 74 percent of children show less than play outside for an hour. The guidelines for British prisoners is "at least an hour appropriate movement in the fresh air per day. It was also found that children are twice as long as a computer screen compared to outdoor games.
