The D66 of the Haarlemmermeer, the area where Schiphol is therefore advocates the introduction of the so-called geofencing. Thus, the drones will be prevented from taking off.

On April 1, a drone flew narrowly past three planes just before these countries were at Schiphol, as announced Air Traffic Control the Netherlands.

PROHIBITED
"We are concerned about the fact that there is flown drones around Schiphol and want to know what measures to be taken in response to this incident," said Councillor Pablo Meegdes. "We also call for better information to residents about the rules by flying drones around Schiphol. That is simply forbidden. "D66 is wondering if there were more of these types of incidents with drones.

Also supported by the Association of Dutch Pilots (VNV) for better information.

CLOSED AIRSPACE
Geofencing belongs to the possibilities. This is a software limitation to ensure that can not take off their drones in the vicinity of airports. The system lets the user know when the airspace is closed temporarily. This can be done in places such as near fires or during major events in stadiums. Sensitive areas surrounding prisons and power plants can also be made inaccessible by geofencing.

Drone pilots can temporarily disable or function and thereby still fly in some areas is prohibited. The condition for this is that the driver has a verified account and thereby his or her credit card information, bank account or phone lists. In this way, the owner can be traced when his drone found in prohibited area.
