After the attacks in Paris is the number of reports of Islamophobic violence increased significantly in the Netherlands. Last year there were 158 cases of violence against Muslims, according to the annual report of the Citizens' Report Islamophobia.
Most reports were made at the beginning of the year. In January 54 cases were registered.Beginning this month, moreover, took place the attack on the offices of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris.
Also in November showed an increase in the number of reports, after the attacks of 13th November. Then came 32 messages inside.

Women wearing headscarves had the hard time, in 91 percent of cases they were victims.In 29 percent of those incidents was used physical violence. Research shows that covered the perpetrators in most cases, white men.
The number of reports or increased but the number of reports to the police did not go along with this. Victims of Islamophobia steps may not go to the police, more than half of the cases (58 percent) continued to take place.
