PvdA wants to ban the staging of scooters

Boosting scooters by dealers should be punishable, says the Labour Party.
The party says after a private investigation that three in four scooter dealers who are members of the association Bovag, are still willing to step up to the agreements in a scooter.

According to Labour MP Hoogland is staged in major cities such as Amsterdam, more than 80 percent of the scooters, making them much faster than the 25 kilometers per hour. "With high speed they rave about the bicycle path along children and the elderly, with severe accidents."

The PvdA called lately with 96 randomly selected dealers to ask them to put on a scooter. "74 percent said yes immediately," says Highland. "Declined only 18 percent."

Lifting Sets

Interbranch Bovag signed in 2004 the "Agreement Self-regulation Mopeds including Advertising. This promised dealers that they no hum vehicles would boost more, customers would actively inform legislation and further do not advertise lifting sets.

According to the Labour Party has not helped, said a spokesman for the Bovag in December still in the TV program EenVandaag that members who are guilty of staging would be disbarred.

Commenting on the PvdA research Bovag has its members again called upon to perform no scooters, the trade reports.
