PPvdA MP Tanja Jadnanansing leave parliament. The Amsterdam shall not be re-elected in the 2017 elections.

Tanja Jadnanansing (49) came in 2010 in the Chamber. In the elections two years later, she received a remarkably high spot on the list of candidates of the Labour Party. She stood in fourth place with only party leader Diederik Samson and ministers Jetta Klijnsma and Ronald Plasterk for her.

She was therefore the highest climber in the party; In 2010, she was still in place 28 on the list. Her high place was remarkable because Jadnanansing is no outspoken parliamentarian and does not occur often in the foreground.

In parliament she has the education portfolio. Every Monday she teaches at a VMBO in Amsterdam. "I started thinking: what makes me happy is that education and youth Without the politics, I never knew?.."

The Amsterdam House member wants to lead her Chamber Membership to an MBO school somewhere in the Randstad. She wants her term in the House or finish to the March 2017 elections.

The Labour Party, which after the last elections gave 38 seats in parliament, now hovering in the polls between 8 and 12 seats. Jadnanansing stresses that the poor prospects for her party played no role in her decision.

"There's politics always the chance that you will not recur with subsequent elections For me this was a difficult decision I turn the Labour Party not back;.. This is my club."

Jadnanansing worked for her Chamber Membership in a center for young people and as a producer / journalist. Earlier her colleagues Jacques Monasch and Shura Dikkers already announced their departure.
