Swedish scientists have begun testing a drug to counteract the sexual feelings of pedophiles.
The drug is tested on pedophiles who themselves have confessed pedo sexual feelings and want to help.Pedophiles (60 patients) have already sought help in the past because of their fantasies, but never acted on those fantasies.
INJECTION
For the test using the pedophiles a drug with degarelix, which is normally used to treat advanced prostate cancer. Half of the patients will receive an injection of the drug, the other half a placebo. The person who receive the drug, have to do with an agent that stops the production of testosterone. It is hoped that the sex drive of pedophiles drops sharply in this way so that young children are not at risk by becoming their "attacked."
,, The goal is to establish a preventive treatment program for men with pedophile disorder that is both effective and acceptable, so that we can prevent sexual abuse of children, "said lead researcher Christopher Rahm to Metro UK.
ANTI-TESTOSTERONE
At the moment there are administered in some prisons all anti-testosterone drugs to pedophiles, but it often takes months before these drugs work. In some cases, the drugs cause even initially to increase testosterone levels.
