THE HAGUE - Turkey fulfills far from the 72 EU conditions for visa-free travel to the EU. The fact that female executioner Saban Baran still roams free in Turkey, there is a proof of that.

Unnamed-188.pngThis enables the CDA. The party wants Koenders of Ministers (Foreign Affairs) and Van der Steur (Security and Justice) to know how many criminals also Turkish citizen with a conviction in the Netherlands get away by fleeing to Turkey.

Ankara does not supply its own nationals. And it does not seem to take over the Dutch sentences and implement, as it was promised. It's against appointment with condition 47, said CDA MP Pieter Omtzigt. That condition states that Turkey should provide for effective legal cooperation in criminal matters with all EU Member States. Saban Baran in the Netherlands sentenced to seven years and nine months in prison on charges including human trafficking and abuse, but took leave during the legs to Turkey.

It took about three years before Turkey took over the Dutch ruling. According to Telegraph crime reporter John van den Heuvel was the first time that Turkey took a Dutch sentence.Seven years after his flight Baran remains at liberty pending appeal in Turkey.

"Now it is a large and well-known criminal like Saban B," says Omtzigt. "But if it's in a man barely been successful, what does that say about all those other criminals who escaped punishment in Turkey?"

The CDA is clear: Turkey does not meet the conditions for visa liberalization. The party is against the refugee deal that the EU has concluded with Turkey and traveling linking with visa-free.
