For the first time put a baby at an abandoned room in the Netherlands. Last week, the baby was in Groningen transferred to the Foundation Protected Cradle volunteers after the mother had contacted.

The Foundation Protected Cradle was founded in September 2014 and aims to help women who can not claim or want to do on the regular assistance. There are now abandoned rooms in Groningen, Papendrecht, Middelburg and Oudenbosch.

According to the law are not allowed these abandoned rooms. Police have had contact with the foundation and is investigating the matter.

The foundation believes that this case shows that the foundling rooms are needed and that therefore the law must be changed. "The children are abandoned us safely down," said a spokesman for the foundation.
