ISTANBUL-Ataturk Airport in Istanbul have just after 9 pm three terrorists blew up himself in the international departure hall. The three explosions are dozens of deaths.
A high Turkish official speaks of ' almost fifty dead '. Officially, there is sure 36 dead. The number of injured is according to Turkish media at 147.
Dutch people, the vast majority of the injuries and fatalities is Turkish. What nationality the other victims have, is not known. Also the Ministry of Foreign Affairs can not yet confirm if there are Dutch citizens among the victims.
' Islamic State ' the Turkish secret service suspect Islamic State behind the attacks is, it is said on Turkish television.
The first two shooters opened fire with Kalashnikovs Kalashnikov rifles before going to blow up with bomvesten. That happened just before the security check on the international terminal of the airport. The police still had shots fired to try to disable the suspects, said a Turkish official.
Eye-witnesses report it to CNN that there was shot from a parking building at the airport. On pictures that appear on social media is to see people seriously injured in or at the departure hall.
Different taxis drive off and on to injured. There are also several ambulances to the airport. The airport is fully cleared.
Turkish authorities have banned media coverage of the attacks.
Sixth attack it's sixth attack on Turkish soil this year. In the most recent attack came in the Centre of Istanbul eleven people dead near the tourist district.
