The HAGUE-The housing corporations want 14,600 new residential places in the next three years for refugees with a residence permit.

Naamloos2-174.pngThis is the result of a survey conducted by trade association Aedes under 134 housing associations, which are collectively responsible for close to half (48 percent) of the Corporation rentals in Netherlands.

It goes for almost half for family homes. In addition, there will also be temporary or mobile homes and homes for singles. According to the survey used a fifth of the corporations the Central Government grant for the accommodation of licensees. This grant is meant for building new houses or rooms in converted buildings. Most are not use because they are less than rent.

The corporations also experience problems at the housing because the housing stock in a municipality is too small or by the low number of homes that is released. A quarter of the corporations will find that they get opposition by building regulations and land-use plans.
