Police suspect that the mother of the newborn child whose body was dumped in the Amsterdam sloterplas, has concealed her pregnancy.
It is not inconceivable that a subsequent pregnancy ends in the same way, said the Police tonight in missing person.
The deceased boy early last month was found in a black sports bag orange of the Nike brand. In the bag were also two scarves: a black and a scarf with Burberry motif. The little boy wore and Mickey Mouse-Mickey Mouse-onesie and bib and had a diaper to the Lidl.
Low birth weight has the bag in the water, according to research by the police. Where and when the bag ended up in the water is and how and by whom he is removed is not clear.
According to police, the boy had a very low birth weight, despite the fact that he was almost fully grown. The child weighed only 1700 grams. What happened to him happened, is still under investigation.
It is important that the mother is found, so that they can get professional help, police said.
