Obesity can shorten life span ten years

Obesity can shorten the life expectancy by ten years. This is the result of a large-scale study published in The Lancet Medical Journal.

Obesity lowers life with at least a year, but this can amount to a severe form of obesity.

The risk of an early death in obese men three times as high as in women who are overweight. Scientists warn of a rapid spread of obesity. In North America, the deaths are highest overweight. In the future, these figures will be the norm for the rest of the world.

LARGEST EVER STUDY
The data research on obesity and mortality was carried out the largest ever. Data was collected from nearly four million adults from four different continents. There were no smokers within this group in order by smoking to rule out premature death.

1.9 BILLION PEOPLE ARE OVERWEIGHT
According to World Health Organization in 2013, there were 42 million primary school children are overweight. In 2014 were more than 1.9 billion adults overweight. Worldwide, more people die from obesity than underweight.
