Utrecht finds it unacceptable that much more dangerous substances on the track in the city is transported than permitted by law. The city is going to urge the Ministry of infrastructure and the environment to take action.
VVD, PvdA and D66 had asked for clarification after in may showed that on several railway lines that traverse many dangerous substances are transported to Utrecht. So last year came through the station area and between Utrecht and Betuwe line three times more cars with LPG than has been agreed. Between Utrecht and Harmelen and Utrecht and Arnhem may pass by, while no dangerous substances that have happened.
