NS start in 2018 with high-frequency drive

Travellers between Amsterdam and Utrecht and Eindhoven, and Wooden-Castellum can use six Intercity trains per hour from december 2017. The NS goes from then start with the high-frequency drive, leaving every 10 minutes a train runs on this route. Now there are four trains per hour.

The high-frequency drive was in 2014 already announced by State Secretary Wilma M (infrastructure). It then said that from 2017 six Intercity trains per hour were going to run between Amsterdam and Eindhoven, and six sprinters per hour between Geldermalsen and Woerden.
