The son of Mexican drug lord El Chapo is free. Alfredo Guzmán Salazar was last Monday abducted from a restaurant along with five other gang members.
According to Mexican media they were released unharmed. El Chapo is the leader of the Sinaloa cartel. This cartel has been embroiled in a power struggle with another gang. Which is probably behind the kidnapping .
The release of the six has not been confirmed by official sources, but the El Chapo family by AFP news agency said that Salazar was unharmed. It is not clear whether a ransom was paid.
Arrested
El Chapo was arrested last year by the Mexican authorities, but managed to escape in July.In January, he was arrested again. There were rumors that he had been able to relax again, what the interior minister committed released a photo of El Chapo in his cell to tweet.
