Carbon Monoxide Detector Pentagon dangerous

Consumers with a carbon monoxide detector of the brand Pentagon type JLP-01 should immediately stop using it.

Even with a lethal concentration of carbon monoxide the unit will not alarm, warns the Dutch Food Safety Authority (NVWA) Monday.

The detector of the production year 2015 was delivered by the company Index Holland.Prolonged inhalation of carbon monoxide can cause dizziness, nausea, headaches and in extreme cases, unconsciousness or death.

The device can be returned to the municipal waste depot. On the Index Holland website to customers through a form reclaim their purchase price.
