Residents Laren ask not to close fire letter azc Crailo

About a hundred residents of the village of Laren Gooise against closure of the refugee center Crailo, on the border of Laren and Bussum.

They therefore have written an urgent letter to the Commissioner of the King in New York, Johan Remkes.

The signatories are volunteers in the asylum seekers' center and say that the conclusion is completely unexpected. "We are beaten dumb."

Six months ago, North Holland, the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA) and Gooise municipalities agreed to house up to 600 asylum seekers in Crailo.Recently, all parties agreed that the relief camp will soon be closed.

The reason given was that fewer and fewer asylum seekers coming to the Netherlands.
