Raids on mosques in Utrecht and Tilburg for money laundering

The FIOD and police raids this morning have done at least two mosques in the Netherlands. A mosque in Tilburg and Utrecht are currently being searched.

The raids are dealing with a large fraud investigation, the Prosecutor's Office reported. A total of twelve locations were searched by the police. The owners of the two mosques were father and son , says the Brabants Dagblad. Tons would be laundered on black money through charitable and educational foundations of organizations.

Rent arrears

Of the mosque in Utrecht is known that there have long arrears with the rent. In addition, the municipality has the Al-Fitrah mosque for a while now in sight, because that would turn away from Dutch society.
