The Friends of Robert from Barneveld, which was beaten down two weeks ago in the Red Light District and died later took an active part in the fight. Initially it was thought that the friends tried to appease the fight.
TV Program Investigation Requested Tuesday showed new images of the brawl at the Red Light District on September 3rd. "The first impression is that Robert was trying to appease the riot," says the voiceover.
Strong violence
Then were three men with Eastern European appearance according to police, turned against them.
Police spokesperson Ellie Lust tells the program that the group of friends celebrating a bachelor party in Amsterdam, not passively watched. "What make clear the images is that the group of friends, where the victim part of it is also very actively fought that night," says Lust. "But it is quite clear that both sides sharply violence was used."
Police are still looking for the three men with the Eastern European appearance. It is not only Poland, as was previously thought, but Romanians. That was clear because witnesses have heard that they have said something to each other in Romanian. Police have this evening new video showing the three Romanian men. Which have still not been found.
The images of two of the three men are recognizable.
Who exactly is responsible for the brain damage that the man suffered from Barneveld is unclear. The Monday after the brawl he died from the injuries.
