Dutch smuggler in Spain packed with 15 tons of hashish

Spanish police have arrested a Dutchman on the Mediterranean that transported nearly 15 tonnes of hashish on his ship. Spanish officials announce today that it is the biggest drug bust of the year in the Mediterranean sea.

Naamloos2-497.pngThe drugs vessel was observed Saturday night and followed.Sunday the Spanish Navy boarded it. Aboard a Bulgarian smuggler was caught and were satellite phones and computers confiscated. The party drugs have a street value of EUR 9 million, report Spanish media .

Not only refugees
Patrol Ships and aircraft of Frontex, the European mission guarding Europe's external borders, not just check vessels on the illegal transport of refugees to the European mainland. They also regularly boats from being used for drug trafficking. In total this year, more than 37,000 kilos of drugs seized and are therefor sure 33 people arrested.

Last week two Dutch arrested who were en route by ship and 9,200 kilos of hashish.
