All Amsterdam toddlers can go to a school this month. The city council has decided that children whose parents have no right to go to childcare allowance in a preschool facility.
They get an offer for six hours a week for children in disadvantaged neighborhoods, where more language delay, prevent health problems and poverty, it applies double. The City Council voted earlier in the proposal to give all young children in the city to a school where they can develop by playing. The mayor and aldermen conducts the decision speeded up, so it made Thursday.
,, Equal opportunities, that's what I want for the Amsterdam kids, '' says responsible alderman Simone Kukenheim. ,, The scheme encourages parents who can not afford it now, to bring their child to the shelter. ''
