Chamber President Van Miltenburg puts her funtion. She just said in a brief statement in the Old Hall of the House of Representatives. She does that because Teevendeal.
"I think I have acted diligently but will no longer burden the position of chairman of this discussion."
Van Miltenburg was under fire for its role in the Teevendeal. Yesterday she received 37 written questions from her colleagues on the issue. The questions were very critical and designed to assess whether Van Miltenburg acted as reliable and impartial Chamber President.
Tuesday they would be put through their paces by the Court. Today it seemed that the support within her own party had crumbled.
The MPs wanted to include Van Miltenburg know why they are not a copy of a whistleblower letter to the committee of the Teevendeal given. In the letter were the amount of Teevendeal of 4.7 million guilders and details about the transfer. That was exactly the information the committee was looking for. Miltenburg destroyed by the copy.
