The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to hold carriers that account of the air war which Russia is waging against rebels in Syria.
EASA pointed out that the long-range missiles that Russia fires from the ground or ships, are a downright danger to airliners flying over Iraq, Iran and the Caspian Sea.

Not about Iraq and Syria
Air France, which together with KLM is an airline group, has not taken any new measures since the airline does not fly over Iraq and Syria and Iran on top of at least ten kilometers. The airline also flies not over eastern Ukraine, Syria, Yemen and Libya.

EASA is an agency of the European Union, which is based in Cologne. It develops rules and regulations for safe European aviation and is involved in the control of their compliance.
