Lawyer of The Six of Breda Geert-Jan Knoops is very surprised at the decision of the court to uphold the punishment of six.

"There is no justice done. The surprise is mainly about how the court can ignore if it has new evidence."

The three men and three women were convicted for the murder of a Chinese woman in 1993 to go to the Supreme Court. "The court still keeps insisting that no undue pressure has been there on the witness. But we have a long day merely cited statements that are contradictory," says Knoops.

According Knoops also has condemned the great disbelief at the verdict. "They keep saying that they were not the One of them said to me. They understand well not have it, I can imagine their huge disappointment and frustration."

The six have already served their sentences, but according to Knoops there is still something to gain. "This case is part of their lives. They want to get rid of the stigma that they all the time carry with them and with their families can continue with their lives."

For them, the ruling a major setback, says Knoops. "But they are steadfast, courageous and clear. We want to, they say, and it will ever come that we are unjustly condemned."
