French court: Hairdresser 'fagot' may call

A ruling by a Paris industrial tribunal has led to quite a bit of outrage.

The court concluded that a stylist is a ,, dirty fagot "call no homophobic insult, because in the hairdressing world indeed many homosexuals are employed. Reported Metronews.fr.

The statement was made during a court case surrounding the dismissal of a hairdresser in Paris. The man was sacked last year because he did not appear in his work because he was ill. The boss sent accidentally message to the employee who was not meant for him: "I will not go with him. I do not feel good about that guy. He's a fucking fagot, "it said.

The layoffs hairdresser decided to drag the man to court. He suggested that it could be concluded from the text that there was a homophobic motive to dismiss him. But the court ruled otherwise.
