One hundred years in prison for cutting fetus

A prison sentence of no less than one hundred years, being convicted an American woman because she has cut the fetus from the abdomen of a pregnant woman. The unborn baby survived the attack, not the pregnant woman does.

The culprit is the 35-year-old Dynel Lane from a place near the US city of Denver. She placed last year an ad on the Internet for free pick up baby clothes. When the pregnant woman came down to it, she was beaten unconscious by Lane. Then the fetus was cut with a kitchen knife in her belly, the reported NIS .

The gruesome case in the United States fueled the debate about whether a fetus can be seen as a full human being and or termination of pregnancy in this way can be seen as murder.

PUNISHMENT

The fetus has not breathed independently outside the mother's body, therefore, according to the local law in Denver no question of murder. Lane is convicted include attempted murder of the pregnant woman and unlawfully terminating a pregnancy. According to the court, it is a wonder that the pregnant woman survived the attack.
