D66, SP and Christian Union called the PVV in order after the murder of the British politician Jo Cox to pay attention to what wording chooses the party in the refugee debate.

Wednesday in an asylum debate in Parliament PVV'er Sietse Fritsma called the government "a danger to society."

D66'er Sjoerd Sjoerdsma resented the tone of Fritsma, especially since it is not even a week ago that the British politician Jo Cox was murdered.

Sjoerdsma: "In the week that politician Jo Cox was killed, the PVV says that the government is a threat to Netherlands You can not let the hatred fire to erupt and are surprised that some people then act attach word PVV.. should think better about this kind of language, because otherwise the party still most resembled a political pyromaniac. "

Cox was at a Brexit and stood up for the interests of, among other Syrian refugees. The suspect of the attack, Thomas Mair, had committed his act from right-wing extremist thoughts.

Hardening
In the United Kingdom raises the question to what extent contributed to the hardening of the political debate in the murder of Cox.

Fritsma maintained that the government is a threat to the safety of the Netherlands. He referred to an article in the Times stating that due to high inflows in 2015 of thousands of asylum seekers Netherlands have arrived without identification and without a thorough screening for possible terrorist threat.

Moreover, the criticism of Fritsma is not directed at persons in the Cabinet, but the policy of "open borders" asylum seekers "no screening" can enter the country.

In that case the PVV'er had claimed Joel Voordewind (Christian Union) are critical then to focus on the policy and not the government should portray as a threat.
