Confused man kills two policemen in USA

Three policemen were shot in the US city of Palm Springs as they tried to appease a family quarrel.

Two gunned down policemen are deceased, the third was injured. The perpetrator has not been arrested and the police keep all hours of the house where the tragedy took place surrounded. The culprit is probably in the house.

Witnesses said to have heard ten to twenty shots. '' The first sounded like fireworks, '' said a local resident at the local newspaper The Desert Sun. '' When I left my house and I saw the police road began to drop. ''

The victims are José Gilbert Vega, who for 35 years was employed by the police of Palm Springs and the 27-year-old Lesley Zerebny who gave birth four months ago to a daughter. Vega would go at the end of the year to retire voluntarily and worked an extra night shift.

The perpetrator was possibly a confused man. According to a local resident asked the father of the alleged gunman shortly before the shooting for help. His son had a gun and was going to shoot cops.

Dozens of police officers are doing a manhunt on the shooter. Police have called on residents to stay indoors.
