Car plunges from bridge US crowd festival: four dead

A motorist was dumped in San Diego with his pickup truck off a bridge down and ended up in a crowd of people. The victims were attending a festival. There are four dead and nine wounded, two seriously injured.


The driver is one of the seriously injured. He was transported to a hospital where he will be arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and causing a fatal accident.

 According to local authorities, it is the 25-year-old Richard Anthony Sepolio, a Marine.


Sepolio who was alone in the vehicle, hit the guardrail on the San Diego-Coronado Bridge and went 18 meters down into Chicano Park in downtown San Diego, where festival La Laza Run was underway, said agent Jake Sanchez. The festival includes a ride ending with a party in the park where hundreds of people come.
